The Opportunity
As Finance Director, you will provide strategic leadership across all European financial operations, partnering closely with senior executives to drive performance, support decision‑making, and ensure operational excellence. You will lead a talented finance team and play a central role in major initiatives including investment appraisal, transformation projects, and potential acquisitions.
This role requires a forward‑thinking leader who can balance strategic vision with hands‑on delivery, acting as both a business partner and a steward for robust financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the European finance team, ensuring high engagement and capability.
* Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across all European operations.
* Provide high‑quality decision support to regional and functional leaders.
* Evaluate investment opportunities and cost‑efficiency initiatives to support sustainable growth.
* Lead financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and other strategic projects.
* Drive treasury, cash flow, banking relationships, and risk‑management activities.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
* Support efficiency, governance, and continuous improvement across finance processes.

* A senior finance professional with experience operating across multiple countries.
* Commercially astute, analytical, and able to influence at executive level.
* Capable of leading a multi‑disciplinary finance team and developing future leaders.
