Job objective and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data and Insight Analyst to join our team. The Data and Insights Coordinator is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality, client-focused reporting.
This role involves collating, analysing and interpreting data to produce actionable insights. It requires presenting information in a clear and effective manner that demonstrates performance against KPIs, drives operational improvements, and supports the targeted data driven decision making to maximise return on investment across the client's portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. Extract, cleanse and integrate data from multiple systems (e.g. incident reporting platforms, workforce systems, financial and client data sources)
2. Analyse data to identify trends, patterns and emerging risks
3. Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across all reporting outputs
4. Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting security performance, trends and key risk indicators
5. Present performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs in a clear and engaging manner
6. Translate complex data into actionable insights to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement
7. Continuously enhance reporting to ensure it remains relevant, insightful and adds value to the client and contract performance
8. Work closely with operational teams to understand business challenges and align reporting accordingly
Main Duties
9. Work as part of the wider contract team, developing a strong understanding of the applications, technology and data critical to contract delivery
10. Support the development and maintenance of high-quality data within application databases
11. Develop and maintain a suite of Power BI reports and dashboards
12. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Power BI within the contract
13. Undertake other duties appropriate to the role, in line with operational requirements and as directed by your line manager
14. Ensure processing standards are maintained at a high level, with errors minimised
15. Ensure compliance with GDPR, relevant legislation, and company and client quality standards
16. Complete ad hoc projects as directed by the retail management team, client, or Head of Sector, delivering to a high standard and within agreed timelines
Person Specification
17. Proven experience in a Data Analyst or Insights Analyst role
18. Advanced excel skills including using Power Query to translate data into clear, actionable insights
19. Experience with data visualisation tools
20. Excellent analytical and report-writing skills, with sharp attention to detail
21. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, with a strong team ethic
22. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
23. Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
24. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
25. A positive attitude and the ability to perform under pressure
Desirable skills and experience
26. Knowledge of the retail sector and/or experience working within security, retail, facilities management, or similar operational environments
