A client of mine, a leading Building Consultancy who are not only a specialist within their space, but also at the forefront of Property and Construction Advisory across the industry, are keen to speak with a talented Building Surveyor, with a view to join their Oxford office. Offering the successful Building Surveyor the opportunity to work within a director-led team, with exposure to a wide variety of exciting projects and a clear pathway for progression.

They are widely recognised for their work across project management, contract administration, design, dilapidations, party wall, pre-acquisition surveys, and dispute resolution.
Their portfolio covers a range of sectors including commercial office, industrial, leisure, hospitality, retail, education, and research & development. All projects are overseen by a nominated director, ensuring both quality for clients and excellent training and development for their surveyors.
The Building Surveyor's Role
The successful Building Surveyor will be involved in a variety of professional and project work, managing instructions independently and collaborating closely with senior colleagues on larger-scale schemes.
You will:
Independently manage projects typically ranging from £50k to £750k
Provide Building Surveying and Project Management support for larger projects above this value
Liaise with project teams, both internally and externally with multidisciplinary consultants
Prepare and submit statutory applications
Write client reports, attend meetings, and chair where appropriate
Undertake building inspections, dilapidations, negotiations, and Party Wall matters
Develop existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities within the current client base
The Successful Building Surveyor Will Have
Qualifications:
A degree in Building Surveying or a related field
MRICS (or working towards)
Knowledge and Attributes:
Solid technical Building Surveying background
Client-facing confidence with strong communication skills
Ability to manage projects independently
Commercial awareness and motivation to progress

£45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
