We’re working with an established and fast-growing insurance brokerage, and they’re now looking for a desk based New Business Account Executive to join their dynamic team based near Stockport.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in commercial insurance to take the next step in their career within a business that truly invests in its people and rewards performance!
The New Business Account Executive role:
* Handling new business enquiries from commercial clients.
* Gathering risk information and obtaining quotes from a panel of insurers.
* Presenting tailored insurance solutions and preparing tenders.
* Following up on quotations to secure instructions.
* Making outbound calls and arranging client meetings to generate new opportunities.
* Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
* Analysing client needs and identifying appropriate insurance cover.
* Maintaining accurate client records and documentation.
* Responding to client and insurer queries promptly and professionally.
* Ensuring compliance with company procedures and FCA regulations.
Our ideal New Business Account Executive:
* Background in commercial insurance, with experience in general commercial risks (e.g. liabilities, property).
* Previous experience in a new business or sales-focused role.
* Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
* Comfortable speaking to clients both over the phone and face-to-face.
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
* Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Detail-oriented with good administrative skills.
* Experience using insurance systems (Acturis knowledge would be beneficial).
