Our leading global consulting, construction engineering client is seeking Programme Leads on a permanent basis to support Severn Trent Water capital delivery projects based out of Tamworth.

As Programme Lead, you'll be the strategic force behind multi-disciplinary programmes-ensuring alignment with client goals, commercial targets, and delivery excellence. You'll work across sectors, teams, and stakeholders to turn vision into reality.
Responsibilities
1. Lead end-to-end programme delivery across capital infrastructure portfolios
2. Establish and embed robust governance, milestone tracking, and risk management frameworks
3. Align programme outcomes with strategic business objectives and client expectations
4. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and accountability
5. Oversee NEC3/4 contract administration (Options A, C & E), ensuring compliance and delivery excellence
6. Collaborate with QS teams on forecasting, valuations, and cost control
7. Draft and manage key contractual communications including EWNs and Compensation Events
8. Lead the negotiation and resolution of change orders, variations, and claims
9. Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and inform future programme improvements
10. Cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with clients, delivery partners, and internal leadership to drive strategic alignment and delivery confidence
11. Actively identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities to expand service footprint across existing portfolios
12. Represent client at high-level end client forums, steering groups, and external events-positioning the company as a preferred strategic partner
13. Foster transparent communication channels and stakeholder engagement plans to ensure programme objectives are understood, supported, and achieved
14. Represent client pitches and strategic forums
15. As a key contributor to growth strategy, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across core sectors. This includes:
16. Proactively scanning the market for emerging opportunities
17. Building and nurturing strong relationships with both new and existing clients-acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador
18. Partner with Associate Directors and Directors to craft client-centric bids, while leading cross-functional engagement to showcase operational excellence, innovation, and commercial impact.
19. Maintain a robust business intelligence database with client insights, bid outcomes, and lessons learned, while embedding feedback loops and knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement across the business development lifecycle.
Qualifications & Requirements
20. Bachelor's or master's Degree qualification in a numeric degree
21. Full Membership of chartered body such APM at MAPM.
22. Valid CSCS card; Water Hygiene Card desirable
23. Strong knowledge with CDM regulations and risk management
24. Experience with ECI/ESI in design & build programmes
25. NEC (3/4) accreditation (preferred)
26. Willingness to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week
27. This role is subject to client interview and acceptance

28. Salary range £80-95k depending on experience
29. Monday - Thursday - 37.5 hour working week (Friday WFH)
30. 26 days holiday, increasing by 1 day for 1 year served and up to 28 after year 3
