Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate Maths teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons, inspire a love of mathematics, and support students to achieve their potential.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
2. Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
3. Tracking, assessing, and reporting on student progress to drive improvement.
4. Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
5. Supporting students through targeted interventions, revision sessions, and enrichment.
6. Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.
7. Participating in CPD and whole-school initiatives.
8. Playing a full role in school life, including pastoral responsibilities and community events.
Requirements
We are looking for a teacher who is dedicated to student success, resilient in the face of challenge, and committed to continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements:
* A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
* Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards it).
* Experience delivering effective and engaging Maths lessons.
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Effective classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
* Ability to use data to inform planning and monitor progress.
* Commitment to the values of service, ambition, respect, and teamwork.
* Willingness to support the school's Christian ethos and wider community work.
Desirable:
* Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Maths.
* Familiarity with using technology to support learning and assessment.
