22 hours per week - 12 months fixed-term About the Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our Housing Team within the wider Housing and Benefits service. This team has a strong track record of helping customers and partners prevent homelessness, and we are now looking for a proactive Housing & Benefits Move On Advisor to make a real difference. In this rewarding role you will work directly with individuals, providing tailored support to help them reduce their stay in temporary accommodation and to assist them to secure a sustainable tenancy. You will work with a variety of customers, helping them to navigate the housing and benefits system, and you'll play a key part in delivering positive outcomes for vulnerable people. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for signing up new customers for tenancies and providing clear advice and guidance to help them understand their rights and responsibilities. You will carry out customer risk assessments and help to identify their support, training and health needs and assist in signposting to the relevant services accordingly. You will work with customers to agree on goals and empower them to achieve these. Additionally, you will assist with issues such as debt advice, budgeting, and tenancy management, ensuring that tenancies are conducted appropriately. What We're Looking For We are looking for an organised, resourceful individual with experience in housing, the support sector or another customer-focused environment. You should have an understanding of the benefits system and be skilled in partnership working. This is a fast-paced role, so you must be flexible and agile in your approach to work, handling a variety of challenging situations whilst providing lasting solutions. Why Work With Us?
