Our client, a reputable design house in the water sector, is seeking skilled Civil Design Managers to join their team for a 12-month contract. This role focuses on a range of AMP8 projects, primarily involving non-infrastructure projects for United Utilities and Anglian Water, with some infrastructure projects across the UK. The position is based in Manchester, with the flexibility to work from home 2 or 3 days per week. The role falls outside of IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing civil design projects within the water sector
Coordinating with project teams to ensure successful delivery of AMP8 projects
Developing and implementing design plans for both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
Ensuring all design work complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Mentoring and leading junior designers and engineers
Collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
Conducting project reviews and providing technical guidance to the team
Managing project documentation and reporting
Job Requirements:
Experience in civil design management within the water sector
Understanding of AMP8 project requirements and standards
Strong knowledge of both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
Flexibility to work in Manchester 2 or 3 days per week, with the rest of the time working from home
