Health & Safety Advisor
East Kilbride | £35,000 - £40,000 + Excellent Benefits
A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join its operational team based in East Kilbride.
This role offers the opportunity to become part of a growing organisation operating within a high-risk manufacturing environment, supporting operational teams and helping drive a positive safety culture across the site.
We're looking for someone who can contribute from day one. This is not a graduate or trainee position. The successful candidate will already have practical Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing, process, industrial or operational environment and be comfortable engaging directly with employees, supervisors and managers.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
Support incident, accident and near-miss investigations
Conduct workplace inspections and safety audits
Assist with risk assessments and safe systems of work
Support compliance activities and SHE management systems
Monitor actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Promote positive safety behaviours throughout the site
Work closely with operational teams and site management
What We're Looking For
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Previous Health & Safety experience within manufacturing, process, production, utilities, energy, chemical, food, pharmaceutical or similar environments
Experience conducting audits, inspections and investigations
Comfortable delivering toolbox talks and engaging with operational teams
Strong communication and organisational skills
Confident challenging unsafe behaviours and influencing positive change
