FP&A Manager - UK
Robert Half is looking for a hands-on and experienced FP&A Manager to join a dynamic UK business. This role offers the opportunity to lead financial planning and analysis across multiple sites, providing insight and support to help the business achieve its strategic goals. You will manage one team member and partner with senior leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
You will be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified (or finalist) accountant on a upward trajectory in your career with strong analytical skills. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and CFO who is visible onsite and will support your development. You will have one direct report.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and scenario planning
2. Analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
3. Provide commercial insight, including revenue, margin, cost analysis, business case modelling, and ad hoc financial scenarios
4. Monitor cash flow and working capital, recommending improvement actions where needed
5. Enhance and streamline financial processes, reporting tools, and models to improve efficiency and accuracy
6. Manage, coach, and develop one direct report
7. Partner with key business stakeholders, presenting financial findings and recommendations to support decision-making
8. Support month-end close processes and contribute to internal and external audit requirements
9. Undertake other finance projects and initiatives as required
What We're Looking For
10. Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or finalist.
11. Minimum of 3 years' experience in FP&A, management accounting, or corporate finance
12. Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
13. Experience managing people
14. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; familiarity with business intelligence tools and ERP systems desirable
15. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly
16. Commercially minded, analytical, and detail-oriented
17. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
18. Proactive and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset
19. Collaborative and able to build strong relationships across the business
