We are recruiting for Class 2 HGV Drivers in the Haywards Heath area.

Role
HGV Refuse Collections Driver
£15.70 per hour (PAYE)
Temporary until 31st October 2025, with likely extension
Responsibilities
* Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
* Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal.
* Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
* Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
* Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
* Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
* Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other road users.
Working Hours
7am to 4pm, Monday - Friday
What you’ll need to succeed
* Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
* Driver CPC
* Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated
* Willingness to undertake tasks
* Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff
* Previous relevant experience desirable
