Our client, a leading private day nursery in Horsforth, Leeds, is seeking a dedicated and flexible Early Years Educator to join their team as a "Floater," providing cover across different rooms as needed.
About Our Client:
Our client is a unique nursery that provides an exceptional learning environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. They believe in the power of outdoor play and nature, and their curriculum is inspired by Scandinavian Forest School philosophies. Their idyllic setting includes a nature reserve, yurt, outdoor classroom, and nearby woodland, offering endless opportunities for exploration and discovery.
About the Role:
As a "Floating" Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the nursery by providing flexible cover across different age groups and rooms. Your daily start time will be 7:30am, and your hours can vary depending on the nursery's needs, potentially ranging from as little as 2 hours to a full day.
Responsibilities:
* Provide sensitive care and support to children of all ages, including nappy changing, feeding, and toileting routines.
* Deliver engaging activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development, aligning with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with room staff.
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress.
* Adapt to different classroom routines and age groups, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
* Contribute to the overall health and safety of the nursery environment.

Requirements
1. Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or a related field.
2. Experience working with children of varying ages in an early years setting.
3. Strong understanding of child development across different age groups.
4. Patient, nurturing, and adaptable individual with excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritise effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
6. Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
