Role Description

Join Our Team as a Support Worker

Location:

Exmouth, Devon

Salary:

£12.60 per hour plus benefits.

Hours:

15 hours per week, Saturday to Sunday, weekends only

Contract:

Part-time, permanent

Driving Requirement:

A valid full UK driving license is essential

Who you will be Supporting?

"Hi, my name is Connor and I'm living in my own home in Exmouth.I am looking for an individual with a good sense of humour, positive attitude, friendly and happy to join my team of support workers. You need to support me to lead the life I want and to encourage me to be gradually more and more skilled and confident.

Whilst I need a quiet and happy environment in my home as I am very jumpy, I really enjoy going to the pub and the cinema so you will need to be able to walk fairly long distances.I also like the to play on my xbox and have a passion for banger racing.

I'd love for people to join my team who have the same interests as me so they would need to be 100% reliable and able to provide me with personal care support.

I'll need encouragement to learn life skills and gain independence but that's something everyone needs at times."

What will you be doing?

As a Support Worker, you'll be more than just their support – you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Here's what you'll be doing:

* Daily Care & Support:Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
* Building Relationships:Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
* Empowering Independence:Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
* Social Engagement:Supporting activities like holiday’s, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone could enjoy what they love doing.
* Respect & Dignity:Ensuring that the people we support, and their families are treated respectfully, with dignity, and equality.
