Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Newcastle
A growing professional services firm is seeking several Corporate Tax Managers to join their national Tax Consultancy team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced tax professionals to take on a leadership role, manage a portfolio of clients, and mentor junior staff within a collaborative and client-focused environment.
The Role
As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing corporate tax compliance and advisory work across a diverse client portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing complex corporate tax computations prepared by junior colleagues.
2. Providing training, mentoring, and development support for Tax Assistants, Tax Seniors, and Tax Assistant Managers.
3. Monitoring work progress, recoveries, and billing for your client portfolio.
4. Delivering proactive corporate tax planning advice to clients.
5. Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory services.
6. Participating in recruitment processes, including graduate intake programmes.
7. Formal line management for Tax Seniors or Trainees.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will:
8. Be CTA qualified with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory work.
9. Hold a full UK driving licence.
10. Be confident in dealing directly with clients, providing exceptional service.
11. Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
12. Possess strong teamwork skills, able to work across multiple teams and offices.
13. Be capable of delivering technical tax training and development sessions to the team.
14. Experience with Alphatax is desirable but not essential.
