The Role
As Sous Chef, you’ll be a vital part of the kitchen team – supporting your Head Chef and stepping up when needed. You’ll help deliver dishes to spec every time, lead a team, and contribute to kitchen profitability and performance with consistency and pride.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead the kitchen team to deliver high standards during service
* Support rota efficiency and manage kitchen GP
* Maintain stock levels and control
* Mentor, develop, and motivate chefs at every level
* Run daily briefings in the Head Chef’s absence
* Ensure full compliance with health and food safety standards
* Create an open, honest kitchen culture where people thrive
* Build strong communication between kitchen and FOH teams
What We’re Looking For
* Enthusiastic, experienced, and team-focused
* Detail‑obsessed and committed to quality at every level
* Confident working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen
* Comfortable with ordering, rota planning, and GP control
* A mentor who supports others and keeps standards high
* Intermediate Food Hygiene certified
* A full driving licence is a bonus (but not essential)
