Head of People / Senior HR Manager (Part-Time, 3 Days Per Week)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 FTE
A well-established, fast-growing financial services business is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking HR professional to lead its people strategy. The Role
The successful candidate will shape and deliver HR strategies that align with the company’s vision and operational goals. They will play a pivotal role in driving a positive, high-performance culture and ensuring the business remains compliant, well-structured, and people-focused.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with the Senior Management Team to design and implement HR strategies aligned with the wider business plan.
* Work closely with managers across the organisation to ensure a seamless, people-centric approach to operations.
* Maintain full legal compliance across all HR practices.
* Lead and advise on employee relations, including grievances, welfare, and complex HR matters.
* Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
* Oversee the performance appraisal system and monthly 1:1s to promote continuous improvement and accountability.
* Handle confidential information with absolute integrity.
* Administer monthly payroll and oversee related financial transactions.
* Manage all HR administration, including digital HR systems and employee records.
* Contribute to the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, ensuring remuneration structures and organisational design reflect best practice.
* Continuously review and enhance employee benefits to support engagement and retention.
* Lead on Health & Safety policy implementation and serve as a member of the Health & Safety Committee.
* Uphold FCA compliance and other regulatory standards relevant to the business.
* Ensure all sensitive employee data is handled in line with GDPR requirements.
* Undertake additional duties as required.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a senior HR role.
* CIPD qualified.
* Strong people focus with a results-driven mindset.
* Expert knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
* Excellent listening, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to align HR strategy to business goals.
