Overview
Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal role at IVC Evidensia. Imagine being part of a passionate, supportive team working across two state-of-the-art sites near the Fylde Coast in Lancashire — Norcross Lane (Thornton) and Hambleton.
At Moy Vets, no two days are the same. From consulting and inpatient care to theatre, dentals, and Schedule 3 procedures, your skills will shine. You’ll also have the opportunity to run your own daily nurse clinics, with special interests welcomed and encouraged.
Team and Practice
Join a thriving nursing team of 14 RVNs and 5 ACAs, with a veterinary team of 10 and a supportive crew of 15. The practice values nursing expertise and offers established nurse clinics, opportunities for further development, nurse-led dental staging, K-laser therapy, and plans to expand nurse-led Schedule 3 operations days.
In-house out-of-hours service and a dedicated inpatient night nurse team mean you’re part of a practice that handles a wide range of emergency cases with confidence.
Work Environment
Moy Vets combines a friendly, multicultural atmosphere with cutting-edge facilities — digital radiography, a dental suite, multiple surgical theatres, Idexx lab equipment, ultrasound, endoscopy, K-laser therapy, and advanced monitoring technology — all designed to help you deliver the best care possible.
Hours and Scheduling
Full-time option: 40 hours per week typically over four days, with a rotating day off or a fixed day off if preferred. Weekend rota operates on a 1-in-6 basis, including brief Saturday and Sunday morning shifts plus on-call duties to 7pm, with retainer and call-out fees paid in addition to salary. Part-time and flexible working arrangements are welcome to support work-life balance. A dedicated nursing team now covers out-of-hours shifts during weeknights and weekends, so you are not required to undertake these duties.
