As one of our valued and skilled dismantling technicians, you will be responsible for recycling, and safely removing, key parts from Commercial Vehicles and 4x4 Vehicles. The main purpose of your role will be to identify and remove selected parts at key stations in the dismantling process. The parts will need to be quality checked and removed in a safe and specific manner, in line with company timelines and processes. Location: Poole Site, BH12 Salary: £30,000 Working Hours: 42.5 Duties & Responsibilities Applying dismantling safety, quality and environmental procedures End of Life Vehicle Dismantling Removing quality required parts Extracting and sorting the different recyclable materials Working between the different dismantling stations Typical tasks include the following: Working in a safe and organized manner Removal and dismantling of: Doors and windows/glazing Internal & external components Suspension & powertrain Dashboard Sort waste materials into recycling streams Maintain high standards of housekeeping & cleanliness in all areas Provide ongoing feedback for process improvement opportunities Ensuring daily targets are met Complete & record daily maintenance checks Skills & Attributes: Teamwork Communication skills Commercial Vehicle and 4x4 Vehicle Experience essential Mechanical qualifications (preferably to level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics or similar) and/or work experience Problem solving skills Understand and follow documented procedures & drawings Work in a safe, structured, methodical & tidy manner Work alone or within a team Select & use basic hand tools Operate battery / powered tooling Knowledge of the techniques used for dismantling and use of power tools Benefits: Health Shield, Ctirical Illness, Death in Service Training and Career Development Discounted petrol and parts Pension 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
