Our client is a privately owned Commercial and Residential construction firm. An organisational restructure is being implemented which has created a new role as Finance Director for the business.
Reporting to the CEO and supporting the Exec Board, you will lead and develop the Finance team to provide first-class reporting and operational control. Bringing effective leadership skills, you will guide a high-performing team to drive performance and controls. As well as requiring technical robustness, this is a highly commercial role to proactively and effectively challenge performance and to assist the operations management team in continuous improvement of financial performance. The position is key in ensuring the smooth and accurate running of financial systems and routines, therefore, you will be expected to have an eye for accuracy and consistency, building strong processes to ensure that information is error-free. You will be expected to be hands on and be an integral part of the finance operational team that steers the business.

Suitable candidates will be qualified accountants and have operated at a senior level within a dynamic, fast-changing business. where priorities rapidly change, designing and delivering understandable insight from large datasets. You will be a hands on accountant who wants to get into the detail.
You should have demonstrable experience of delivering multiple project streams requiring prioritisation and resource allocation and improvement of processes and systems delivering enhanced performance more efficiently.
