Role Overview: We are looking for a motivated Graduate Estates Surveyor to join our highly experienced Estates team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career working on public sector estates, including Local Authority and Housing Association portfolios, with exposure to some private sector work. We are an award-winning building design consultancy, with our Commercial Agency team recently winning the 'Best Office Deal' award at The Yorkshire Commercial Real Estate Awards 2025. Align Property Services is a Limited Company, wholly owned by North Yorkshire Council and we are one of the largest multi-discipline building design consultancies in the North of England. We are collaborative in the way we work, offering a broad range of services in Architecture, Sustainability, Building Surveying, Project Management, Civil & Structural, Transport Planning, Bridges, Highways & Drainage Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, CDM, Property Advisory & Estate Management.

We are dynamic and diverse in our approach to projects, from valuing small gardens to multi-million-pound listed structures including schools, fire stations, care homes, and other public and commercial buildings across the UK. Job Responsibilities

* Joining a supportive and experienced Estates & Valuation team within a multi-disciplinary organization
* Assisting with a wide range of estates surveying work, including commercial and residential valuations, asset management, and landlord & tenant matters
* Supporting senior surveyors on varied projects while progressively managing your own workload
* Working with public and private sector clients, including local authority partners
* Attending site visits, inspections, surveys, viewings, and client meetings
* Helping to prepare reports, valuations, and property asset information
* Collaborating with colleagues across different disciplines to deliver high-quality outcomes
* Developing your professional skills and working towards RICS Chartership, with full training and support


Candidate Requirements

* A graduate with a relevant degree (e.g., Estate Management, Real Estate, or a related discipline)
* Interest in building a career in estates surveying, valuation, and property management
* Either already enrolled on, or willing to commence, the RICS APC pathway
* Some relevant property or surveying experience is desirable but not essential
* A proactive, motivated, and organized individual with a willingness to learn
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and property-related systems
* A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites and client locations
