Introduction: Join Potters Bar Clinic in Potters Bar as a Maintenance Assistant and Driver where you will be part of creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. You must possess a full driving license as driving is also required as part of this role. You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week and will also go onto an on call Rota.
Responsibilities
* As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, gardening and regularly conduct audits to identify and repair faults to ensure a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors. Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.
* Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
* Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained.
* Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
* Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
* Assisting in all decorating.
* Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
* Participating in a 1 week on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance.
* Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing all paperwork and tool checks.
To be successful in this role
* Comply with system and procedures.
* Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
* Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
