Robertson Bell are supporting a Public Sector organisation with a strong social purpose based in West Yorkshire to recruit an Interim Finance Business Partner for an initial three-month assignment.
This will be a busy period for finance, entering the budget-setting cycle, and we are seeking an experienced professional who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the organisation’s budget-setting and forecasting activity, working with budget holders to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
2. Produce and present insightful management information, highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities.
3. Partner with senior managers to strengthen financial accountability and ensure alignment between resources and strategic priorities.
4. Provide advice on financial strategy, risk management, and value-for-money initiatives.
5. Support month-end reporting and contribute to continuous improvement across financial processes and systems.
The Successful Candidate
6. CCAB-qualified or Qualified by Expeirence, with strong experience in management accounting, financial planning, and business partnering.
7. Proven success leading or contributing to budget-setting, ideally within a public sector or not for profit organisation.
8. Excellent communicator with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
9. Highly proficient in Excel and financial systems, with a keen eye for detail and analysis.
10. Proactive, adaptable, and able to deliver meaningful results in a short timeframe.
This is a hybrid role that will require two days per week in the office.
