Overview
We are looking for an Overseas Assistant to join the Overseas Team in delivering an effective and efficient administration service. You will work in close liaison with the Private Patient and Overseas Manager and Co-ordinator to provide administration processes that support the Trust’s private patient and overseas visitors’ functions, ensuring administration processes are maintained. The post holder will interface with patients by telephone and face to face on general enquiries and receipting in documentation.
The post holder will be responsible for communicating with the appropriate individuals, teams and departments within the Trust to achieve required outcomes and will cover general clerical and administrative duties that facilitate the administrative elements of the entire patient pathway. Key areas include: clear communication; appointing patients and supporting the appointments process; retrieval of medical notes and results; inputting data into patient/client records; and telephone patients.
The post holder will have skills in all areas of administrative functions to enable support of the patient pathway, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure tasks are carried out correctly within given timescales.

Responsibilities
* Maintain effective and efficient administration processes to support the private patient and overseas visitors’ functions.
* Interface with patients over the telephone and face to face on general enquiries and receipting in documentation.
* Communicate with appropriate individuals, teams and departments within the Trust to achieve required outcomes.
* Carry out general clerical and administrative duties that facilitate the patient pathway.
* Support the appointments process and appointment scheduling for patients.
* Retrieve medical notes and results and input data into patient/client records.
* Telephone patients as part of the role.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure tasks are performed correctly within timescales.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in administration and clerical duties within a healthcare setting is desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work with multiple teams and to use SOPs for task execution.
* Proficiency in handling patient data in line with GDPR and data protection standards.
