About The Role Reporting to the Saw Team Leader, the Saw Operator is responsible for the production of saw cut parts by loading and unloading various saw machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records as appropriate and assisting in the maintenance of equipment. The operator will ensure continuity of production in the saw room, maintaining required specifications within agreed timeframes. About Your Day To Day Preparing and operating the circular, manual and auto band saws to perform manufacturing tasks Preparing and loading raw materials into the saw machines Completing raw material paperwork and checklists Inspecting and measuring finished products and comparing them with technical and quality requirements to ensure correct completion of the process together with de-burring, shuffling, and cleaning of finished parts as necessary and saw operations as required, respecting all advised schedules and timelines for production In consultation with the Production Manager and Saw Team Leader, ensuring all machines remain well stocked with continuity of production at all times Strictly adhering to all health and safety procedures Demonstrating a strong team approach ensuring clear communication with colleagues at all levels Adhering to SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) To be responsible and fully accountable for ensuring all completed parts conform with all specifications and quality deliverables as appropriate Ensures that every machine process is undertaken in compliance with the company guidelines Maintains continuity among work shift by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer's instructions; troubleshoots machines Ensures saws are maintained through daily cleaning and predetermined maintenance activities To ensure efficient operation of the saw area in achieving specified agreed targets To participate in daily production meetings with the team detailing production targets, quality concerns and any other focus points identified To achieve throughput against stated targets Undertaking any other duties as may be required by the Management team About You Must be a team player and have the ability to work well with others Must have a safety conscious mindset Previous experience in saw operation is desired by not necessary Passion for manufacturing Must have or be willing to have a license in the operation of Forklift Trucks (Refresher training is provided on site) Willingness to take on additional training as required by the business What We Offer Free parking Bonus scheme Overtime available Pension scheme Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.
