A quick look at the role
Help us make a difference as a Regional Account Manager, managing a portfolio of customers in the East Region of the UK. You will be responsible for maintaining the business relationship between Biffa and the client, covering commercial results, growth, contract negotiations, KPI and SLA achievement, compliance, customer satisfaction, retention, strategic account planning, innovative solutions, and ensuring high-quality service.
Your Core Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary interface between the company and the client, ensuring the implementation of strategic account plans, service success, contract compliance, retention, and pricing negotiations.
* Attend customer reviews and present detailed management information and advice on waste management programs.
* Build customer confidence by establishing solid and stable multi-level relationships.
* Act as the point of escalation for the client to support the resolution of issues.
* Ensure customer debt is within contractual limits by addressing invoice queries promptly.
* Negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and externally to deliver long-term benefits.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
* The role involves driving growth and operates with a high level of autonomy, aligned with the long-term regional business plan.
* Must be commercially focused, capable of analyzing and forecasting the success of business proposals, understanding financial principles related to costs, profits, markets, and added value.
* Responsible for contract performance management in line with KPIs and metrics.
* Ability to build key internal relationships across departments such as fleet, compliance, finance, HR, and with senior leadership including Area Directors and the Commercial Senior Leadership Team.
* Ability to establish and maintain key relationships with external organizations at all levels.
