About the Role:
A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Walsall is looking to appoint a passionate and proactive Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on raising attainment in core areas such as English, Maths, and Science.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a future in teaching or education. You will gain valuable in-classroom experience, working closely with students and teaching staff to support learning, deliver interventions and help manage classroom activities.
Role Responsibilites:
Provide in-class support to students, helping to reinforce learning and clarify understanding.
Work with individuals or small groups to deliver targeted academic interventions.
Assist teachers in planning and preparing classroom resources and activities.
Help manage student behaviour and encourage positive engagement in lessons.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional support.
Maintain a professional and supportive presence in the classroom.
Role Requirements:
A degree in any subject.
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
Willingness to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff.
Experience working with young people (in a school, tutoring, or mentoring role) is desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
