Overview
The Bristol Eye Hospital (BEH) at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Foundation Trust (UHBW) is looking to grow its team of clinicians to drive an ambitious future vision of care across Bristol and Weston. The BEH is a highly regarded regional centre for ophthalmology, providing a tertiary referral service for glaucoma and support for related subspecialties. The service is supported by a developed optometry shared-care service and an integrated electronic patient record with long-standing historical data. This vacancy is for a one-year, fixed term, full-time Primary Care Clinical Fellow post, ideally commencing in early August 2026. The post is designed to provide emergency ophthalmology services for patients attending an open-door Emergency Department and may offer the opportunity to rotate through subspecialties and potentially help with CESR subject to meeting competencies.

Responsibilities
* Provide emergency ophthalmology services for patients in the open-door Emergency Department.
* Play an active role in the running of the service and participate in the workload of the hospital.
* Be capable of working to a flexible timetable and contribute to service development where appropriate.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Interest in emergency ophthalmology with potential to rotate through subspecialties.
* Eligibility or potential to obtain CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) subject to meeting competencies.
* Willingness to work across the BEH ophthalmology services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
