Pen Picture of the Person Requiring Assistance: I’m a 12 year old boy living in the Glynneath area. I’m a very busy boy with a cheeky smile and a wicked little laugh. I have Down’s syndrome and severe learning difficulties. I am still in nappies. I have a bone conductor hearing aid as I have glue ear. I’m non verbal and a PA that can do sign along would be beneficial (but not essential). I like going out to sensory play areas I also enjoy going swimming. I’m looking for a P.A for two sessions a week on Tuesday/ Friday/Sat to take me out to the places I enjoy. Tasks Include: Support within the community Support with road safety Support with toileting Personal Qualities and Attributes required: A person who: • is trustworthy, reliable and punctual • is caring, patient and understanding • is friendly and chatty • respects my privacy and confidentiality • will treat me with dignity and respect
