Assistant Management Accountant
Central Cardiff (Hybrid Working)
The Role:
We're working with a well established professional services firm in central Cardiff looking to add an Assistant Management Accountant to their finance team. This is a steady, hands-on role supporting the production of monthly accounts and giving you exposure to the full month-end process.
You'll be joining a supportive team with good structure in place, making it a solid opportunity for someone who's part-qualified and looking to build on existing experience.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
2. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
3. Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
4. Post journals, including accruals and prepayments
5. Analyse financial data and provide basic commentary
6. Work with internal teams to gather financial information
7. Support the year-end process and external audit
About You
8. Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or studying towards qualification
9. Experience in a finance role with exposure to month-end
10. Comfortable using Excel (lookups, pivot tables beneficial)
11. Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
12. Willing to learn and take on more responsibility over time
