Job Title: Lead Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid (Portsmouth - 2 to 3 days per week)
Our Portsmouth based client are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join their growing team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work 2-3 days a week on-site, with flexibility for remote working. As a Lead Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping, maturing, and elevating the Business Analysis (BA) function across the organisation, while remaining hands-on and directly involved in the delivery of strategic and complex technology projects.
The Lead Business Analyst will lead by example, delivering high-quality analysis, mentoring team members, and driving best practices and standards across the BA community. Establish a shared understanding of best practices and consistent documentation/analysis approaches.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of business analysts.
Work directly with stakeholders across business and technology teams to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
Translate business problems into clear and concise requirements for solution design and delivery.
Support the delivery lifecycle from inception through to implementation and post-launch review.
Project Delivery and Leadership:
Lead analysis work across multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and quality of requirements and proposed solutions.
Proven experience in a senior or lead business analysis role within a technology project environment.
Strong experience working on digital, data or transformation programmes.
Experience working across the full project lifecycle, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Comfortable managing priorities across multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in mentoring or line management of other Business Analysts.
Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, and business process modelling tools.
BCS, IIBA, Agile BA, or equivalent).
