Responsibilities:
You will:
Provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive
Support children’s learning and development through purposeful play and planned activities
Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress in line with the EYFS framework
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers as a key person
Promote inclusive practice and safeguard the welfare of all children
Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve practice and provision
Also/or:
Lead curriculum planning, ensuring activities meet children’s individual needs
Mentor and support team members to ensure consistent, high-quality practice
Take responsibility for the setting in the absence of management
Monitor and evaluate learning outcomes and staff performance
Build strong partnerships with families, supporting children’s transitions and development
Actively contribute to improvement plans and audits
Requirements:
A Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (DfE full and relevant)
A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A nurturing, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to working with children
An up-to-date understanding of safeguarding and child protection
As well as:
Proven experience in a senior or lead role within an early years setting
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
