We are working with a fast-growing Data & AI consulting firm helping organisations unlock value from advanced analytics, AI, and modern data platforms.
As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire an Agile Delivery Lead to help shape and deliver complex data and AI programmes for public and private sector clients.
This role sits at the heart of delivery — coordinating cross-functional squads of data engineers, data scientists, and product specialists to take solutions from initial concept through to production deployment.
You will play a key role in ensuring delivery is structured, collaborative, and commercially successful, whilst maintaining the pace and agility required to deliver modern data products.
The Role
The Agile Delivery Lead will oversee the delivery of multiple agile squads working on advanced data initiatives.
These engagements typically involve delivering:
* Proof of Concepts (POCs)
* Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
* Alpha and Beta solutions
* Production-grade AI and data platforms
You will work closely with clients, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to ensure delivery is well-governed, transparent, and outcome-driven.
This is a consulting-facing role, so the successful candidate will be comfortable operating in client environments, building strong relationships, and helping shape delivery approaches for complex data programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of data and AI initiatives across multiple agile squads.
* Manage teams of data engineers, data scientists, and technical specialists delivering modern data platforms and AI-driven solutions.
* Ensure delivery of POCs, MVPs, alpha and beta releases through to stable production deployments.
* Establish and maintain Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe where appropriate).
* Coordinate sprint planning, backlog management, delivery roadmaps, and stakeholder reporting.
* Work closely with client stakeholders and product owners to translate business problems into deliverable data solutions.
* Identify and mitigate delivery risks while maintaining momentum across programmes.
* Ensure teams maintain strong engineering discipline, quality assurance, and deployment readiness.
* Support the continuous improvement of delivery practices across the consulting organisation.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience working as an Agile Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, or Programme Delivery Lead.
* Experience managing multiple agile squads delivering technology or data-focused programmes.
* Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or scaled agile).
* Experience delivering data platforms, analytics solutions, or AI/ML products.
* Comfortable working in consulting or client-facing environments.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across technical and business teams.
* Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
* Experience working with Data Engineering or Data Science teams.
* Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
* Experience delivering data platforms, machine learning solutions, or analytics products.
* Previous experience working in government or regulated environments.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of some client engagements, candidates must hold current SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
Working Pattern
* London office base with travel to client sites when required
