Position Overview
This is a fixed‑term post for one year, band 5 Registered Nurse, based in ward 20 (30 beds) within the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The shift pattern is 37 hours per week (days, nights and weekends). Effective 1 April 2026, full‑time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.
Responsibilities
* Assessment, delivery and supervision of all care needs within the ward environment.
* Apply sound clinical skills to assess patients’ needs, implement and evaluate evidence‑based care plans.
* Work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑clinical‑standard environment.
* Assist with the development and implementation of programmes of care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Work independently on own initiative while collaborating with the integrated team.
* Attend flexible shift pattern including day, night rotations and weekends.
Requirements
* Registered Nurse with a live NMC UK pin.
* A registered nurse with current NMC registration.
* Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
