Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and highly motivated Radiographer to join the Cardiac Cath Lab Team Manager team and work with the Lead Radiographer to deliver operational management of Cath Lab services at Leeds General Infirmary. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals passionate about Cardiac imaging and the continuous improvement of our service. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Cath Labs, a keen interest in staff engagement and collaboration, technical skill, and strong leadership qualities. They should enjoy working as part of a team, be interested in person‑management and innovation, with the ability to lead change.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will undertake an agreed level of clinical duties alongside leading the daily operational management of the Cath Labs. They will work collaboratively with fellow Team Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of a high‑quality, efficient imaging service.
* Operational Management: Oversee the smooth running of services, ensuring optimal use of resources and maintaining high standards of patient care and imaging quality.
* Leadership & Team Management: Provide clear direction and support to the radiographic team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
* HR & Staff Governance: Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, including supervision, appraisals, and attendance management.
* Health & Safety & Radiation Protection: Take responsibility for departmental safety, including radiation protection, ensuring full adherence to Trust policies and legal requirements.
* Governance & Compliance: Be responsible for departmental governance, including risk management and policy implementation, with a strong understanding of Trust protocols and procedures.
* Service Development: Support the Lead Radiographer in driving service improvements aligned with national and local objectives.
* Interdepartmental Liaison: Work closely with other departments and managers across and beyond radiology to ensure cohesive service delivery.
