About the role
This is an exciting role for a clinician who has completed their Foundation training, to develop your medical education skills. You will provide vital support to the teaching of our undergraduate medical students supervising study groups from Years 1 and 2 in their completion of workbook activities. You will also support teaching during early clinical placements, developing students' knowledge and skills so they can make a smooth transition in to full-time clinical training in Year 3 and maximise their student experience. Your role will include a variety of other educational activities such as teaching examination skills; involvement in our range of clinical simulation; and assessment activities such as question writing, standard setting, and marking (both written and OSCE assessments). This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching and educational skills, offering useful preparation for several Royal College postgraduate examinations. You will have the opportunity to achieve a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and have the opportunity to apply for an Accredited Teaching Qualification, gaining relevant qualifications and experience for a possible future teaching role in medical or higher education.
