Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
As Production Engineer you will be responsible for developing, implementing and improving manufacturing processes using the best manufacturing methods and technology to ensure that any product produced is created in an efficient and cost-effective manner while complying with health and safety procedures and quality standards. To provide day-to-day second-level technical support for existing production cells (Product, Process and People) following the 5 Step Problem Solving Process (DMAIC) and Standard Processes Documentation.
The Production Engineer will have a direct impact on our Manufacturing group, responsible for:
* Defining, implementing and improving Standard Work Flow in each production cell.
* Designing and implementing production jigs, fixtures, and tools.
* Defining and maintaining TPM standards.
* Defining and maintaining calibration and extraction systems and supporting documentation in all locations.
* Creating, reviewing and maintaining SOP’s and documentation.
* Providing support and training to Production Technicians, Repair Technicians and Quality Auditors.
* Identifying and implementing Innovation/Smart Factory projects and being a contributor to the Innovation process.
* Identifying and implementing Productivity projects and being a contributor to the cost reduction targets.
* Driving and controlling NPI projects, including set up of production lines and new processes, documentation, and training.
* Driving and controlling CAPEX projects, from concept to installation, commissioning, and production hand-over.
* Implementing and maintaining APQP core tools in each production line (PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA and SPC).
* Reporting, improving and leading the roll throughput yield (RTY) KPI metric in each production cell.
* Reporting, improving and leading Uptime KPI in each production cell.
* Creating, maintaining and updating BOM’s and Cycle times in SAP.
* Creating and implementing Engineering Change following standard process.
* Assisting Buyer/Planner and Quality Engineer with brainstorming solutions that directly eliminate root cause, maintaining quality metrics on track, and identifying and validating alternative part numbers.
* Driving Continuous Improvement activities on existing and new processes and products, using Lean Manufacturing Techniques, and new technology introduction.
* Attending and supporting kaizen events.
* Following 5’s standards in all Production Engineering locations.
* Attending and contributing to the daily Gemba walk review of the KPI boards.

Qualifications And Requirements
* HND/ Degree in Mechanical / Production / Electronic / Manufacturing Engineering.
* Experience of Electronics Industry or Automotive Industry an advantage, but not essential.
* Experience of plastic injection molding, machine shop and PCBs techniques, an advantage, but not essential.
Levels
* Level 1 – Entry: 0–3 years relevant industry experience preferred but not essential. Foundational knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, DMAIC awareness). Can follow and contribute to SOPs and process documentation with guidance.
* Level 2 – Experienced: 3–7 years in manufacturing/engineering preferred but not essential. Proficient in Lean Manufacturing tools (SMED, TPM, VSM, Standard Work, 5 Whys, DMAIC). Capable of designing and implementing production aids (fixtures, tools). Innovation and Smart Factory techniques such as COBOTs, SCADA, etc.
* Level 3 – Advanced: Degree with 7+ years' experience preferred but not essential. Proven track record in delivering technical improvements and projects. Lean Six Sigma (or equivalent). Advanced application of Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
