About the Role
We are seeking reliable, confident, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools throughout Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible working hours, whether you are seeking full-time supply work or part-time days to fit around other commitments.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task with the work that has been set.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans to students aged 11–16 (and occasionally 16–18)
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Ensure a positive and productive learning environment
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress
* Support safeguarding and student wellbeing at all times
What We’re Looking For
* Strong classroom presence and confident communication skills
* Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
* Good behaviour management skills
* Flexibility to work across different schools in the Staffordshire area
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
