Working directly to the Deputy Director (HR Services), this vital and rewarding role provides the perfect opportunity for the next step in your HR career.
In this role, you will be helping to build our distinctive and positive employee relation practice that enhances the employee experience by fulfilling the University's culture of trust and care for each other. This ensures that we deliver our Employee Value Proposition for all our staff.
You will be responsible for providing specialist advice and assistance, developing, reviewing, and improving our employee relations policies, procedures, and guidance. This includes training and development for our line managers so they possess the knowledge and skills to manage our employees positively and respectfully. This responsibility also includes the application of the University’s Resolution Framework and Support & Report Portal, developed in partnership with the TCM Group. This innovative approach was recognized with an award at the 2024 Business Culture Awards and enables the University to make positive resolution-focused interventions to change future behavior and develop our culture and employee experience.
Further information
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices and their practical application, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also possess the resilience and drive to continuously innovate and improve all that we do as an HR service.
You will be joining a talented, encouraging, and positive HR Business Partnering and Advisory team.
