Lecturer - Specialist SEN (PMLD) | Kingston
We are recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding (Ofsted, April 2025) specialist college, providing high-quality education to young people and adults with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities across London and Surrey.
Students have diverse and complex needs, including PMLD, communication and behavioural challenges, and medical needs. Each learner follows a personalised programme designed to build independence, confidence, and life skills.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer to deliver engaging, learner-centred teaching and lead on high-quality learning experiences. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, monitor progress, and support learners to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver inclusive, differentiated teaching
Assess, track, and report on student progress
Create structured learning programmes aligned to individual needs
Support and supervise support staff and learning teams
Contribute to staff development and continuous improvementRequirements
CertEd, Diploma in Education & Training, or equivalent (or working towards)
Experience working with SEN learners, ideally PMLD
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguardingSafeguarding
