This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites. You will lead a professional team through the planning process, obtain satisfactory consents, support the construction phase, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is essential.
This role offers ownership of the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

What you'll do
* Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores.
* Undertake site inspections, development appraisals, manage site, legal, and planning due diligence.
* Manage planning applications from submission to consent and discharge of conditions.
* Lead all expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects.
* Develop and maintain relationships with authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
* Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
* Manage real estate assets of freehold and leasehold properties.
What you'll need
* A self-starting drive and a proactive attitude.
* Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), ideally in a relevant discipline.
* Exposure to retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
* Ideally MRICS qualified.
* A well-networked individual with strong negotiating skills.
* Sound commercial property and legal knowledge.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Highly analytical mindset.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
