Staffline is recruiting for Machine Minders to work in Alconbury.
Transport is available from 4 locations in Peterborough.
The rate of pay is:
- £12.95 per hour
As a Machine Minder, you will be required to work on a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off shift pattern with additional overtime days offered but not expected.
The shifts for this position are:
7am to 7pm Sunday to Wednesday - Sunday to Tuesday
Please note, this is subject to change to meet business requirements.
Your Time at Work
As a Machine Minder on the production line, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of automated machinery. You'll support production by minimising downtime, performing timely machine changeovers, and ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.
Your duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Set up and prepare machinery for production
- Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance
- Monitor machine performance and resolve minor issues
- Ensure product quality and packaging meet customer standards
- Work with Line Leaders and engineers to keep production running smoothly
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Our Perfect Worker
Previous experience in a similar role is essential. You'll need to be confident working with automated machinery and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hands-on experience operating automated machinery (ideally in production or manufacturing)
- A mechanical mindset with basic troubleshooting skills
- A good understanding of Health & Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
While previous experience in a similar role is essential, full training will be provided.
