QAagency is delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturer in the Wirral region. They are now looking to appoint a Head of Quality to lead both the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions within the business. The role has a strong people-management element and will suit someone with proven experience managing a team while also driving QA/QC standards across production.
The role covers oversight of QA processes, audits, CAPA management, and training, alongside leadership of the QC team. You will ensure compliance with ISO, GMP and wider industry standards, support cross-functional teams on quality-related matters, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on operational excellence and people development.
You will monitor and verify compliance of manufacturing processes, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions. You will provide training on quality standards, oversee supplier quality assessments, and prepare reports and recommendations. A key part of the role will be to lead, mentor and develop the QA/QC team, coordinate daily QC activities, and ensure all testing equipment and procedures are correctly maintained and followed. You will collaborate closely with production, engineering, supply chain and R&D teams to align quality initiatives with business goals.
* Strong background in QA/QC processes, inspection techniques, and root cause analysis tools
* Extensive people-management and leadership experience, with a record of building and motivating high-performing teams
* Working knowledge of ISO, GMP and other relevant standards
* Confident communicator with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Hours & Benefits
* Monday–Thursday 8:00–17:00, Friday 8:00–12:30
