Job Description
This role is responsible for the safe handling of products & medicines to meet Home Care order requirements in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Warehouse Practice (GWP), Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures and under the instruction of the Responsible Pharmacist.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 18:00. Shift rotation 08:00 - 16:00 & 10:00 - 18:00.
Key Accountabilities
* Receive, process and action all good-in products (including storage) ensuring accurate data entry and reconciliation of receipts.
* Store products by batch and use first-expired first-out principles in compliance with temperature & storage condition requirements.
* Ensure products are picked, dispensed, and dispatched in a timely and accurate manner following SOPs and critical metrics.
* Undertake frequent compliance checks within the warehouse operations in line with Baxter Management Systems (e.g., Quality, H&S, Environment, Operational Excellence) and external requirements (Good Warehousing Practice & General Pharmaceutical Council).
* Raise any operational discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor and Responsible Pharmacist.
* Record events (e.g., incident, complaints, service issues) and assist with investigation per the complaints procedure.
* Lead and process all returns & waste in accordance with warehouse and pharmacy SOPs.
Qualifications And Experience
* NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing Assistant or equivalent (training provided).
* High accuracy in data entry.
* Good IT proficiency including warehouse management systems.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Hands‑on experience in a warehouse and/or pharmacy environment.
* Experience working in a cold chain environment is helpful.
* Experience following SOPs.
* Understanding of Safeguarding practices (Level 1 or equivalent).
* Knowledge of safe manual handling practices.
* Understanding of Good Document Management practices.
* Frequent and repetitive manual handling.
* Wearing and using PPE (safety glasses, gloves, safety boots).
