Working Pattern
* Mon, Thu, Fri, 08:00 - 14:00
* Sat, 11:00 - 19:00
* Sun, 08:00 - 16:00
* (35 hours per week)
What You Will Do
* Follow a highly regulated end‑to‑end sterilisation/decontamination process on surgical instruments used in operations in local NHS and private hospitals, ensuring they are safe for the next patient.
* Prepare sterile consumables (dressings, linen, surgical instruments, and equipment) through decontamination, inspection, assembly, and packing within predefined quality standards.
* Check, wash, lay up, and pack sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications while maintaining quality standards.
* Operate and monitor machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilisers) safely and effectively.
* Record and log repairs or missing instruments or equipment on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
* Return repaired instruments or equipment to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.

Required Experience
