We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Bolton. As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, you will provide invaluable support to both teachers and pupils, contributing to the development and success of students across various year groups. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality lessons and support students' academic and emotional needs. Your role will be essential in ensuring that all children have the opportunity to succeed, whether you are providing one-on-one support, helping in group activities, or assisting with classroom organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher with the planning and delivery of lessons, acting as a Teaching Assistant in various subjects across the curriculum.
2. Assist with the preparation and organisation of learning resources, ensuring the classroom is well-equipped for every lesson as a Teaching Assistant.
3. As a Teaching Assistant, help create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that promotes learning and the development of every child.
4. Help support children with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning needs, ensuring that each child receives the support they require as a Teaching Assistant.
5. Participate in school activities and school-wide events, contributing to the overall school community as a Teaching Assistant.
Essential Criteria:
6. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is preferred, but not essential.
7. A passion for working with children and a strong commitment to supporting their academic and personal development as a Teaching Assistant.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to take initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
10. Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude toward supporting children's individual learning needs.
Desirable:
11. Experience working with children who have special educational needs (SEND).
12. Knowledge of phonics programs and early literacy strategies.
13. Familiarity with supporting children in preparation for assessments or exams as a Teaching Assistant.
