About the role
We are looking for a Welfare Assistant who has experience working with children in a primary school setting and who is passionate about supporting children. The role will primarily involve one‑to‑one lunchtime support for children with additional needs, playground monitoring, and positive interaction with children.
Responsibilities & Duties
* Support the wellbeing of children across different age groups during the school day.
* Deliver fun, engaging activities for individuals or small groups on the playground.
* Assist children in receiving their lunchtime meals.
* Monitor children on the playground, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to promote children’s learning and wellbeing.
Candidate Skills & Requirements
* Commitment to the school ethos and values.
* Passion for promoting and supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
* Excellent communication and relational skills with both children and adults.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
