Job Introduction
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Compliance Manager to join the Global in-house Legal Team at William Grant and Sons on a fixed-term contract at our Belshill site. The role involves supporting the Head of Legal Compliance and the wider Legal Team in all areas of compliance work, with particular focus on anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), gifts and hospitality (G&H), know your customer (KYC), fraud prevention, and competition law compliance programmes.
Main Responsibilities
1. Assisting the Head of Legal Compliance in developing and implementing effective legal compliance programs and initiatives globally.
2. Planning and conducting comprehensive compliance training sessions.
3. Drafting and maintaining current legal compliance policies.
4. Analyzing global compliance trends and drafting reports for the Executive Board, Audit Committee, and other stakeholders.
5. Conducting internal investigations, including reviewing evidence and preparing witness statements.
6. Overseeing legal compliance portals and addressing related queries.
7. Serving as the escalation point for KYC, ABC, and G&H inquiries.
8. Continuously evaluating and refining compliance systems to ensure optimal performance.
Our Ideal Candidate
You will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and meet strict timeframes. Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, MS365, SharePoint) is essential. You should be confident operating independently to find solutions and improve workflows. Experience with compliance processes such as KYC, ABC, G&H, or other due diligence processes is required.
