Job Description
Manage and lead the educational establishment(s) to benefit children and the wider community, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidance issued by the Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council. The role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically relating to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, Children and Young Person's Service Plan, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, prior to a formal employment offer. PVG records are continually updated, and any relevant information will be discussed with the applicant before employment is confirmed.

The Individual
This permanent full-time position is based at Hillside School and Supported Learning Centre, Barony Campus, Cumnock. The hours are 35 per week, with a salary of £79,461 per annum.
