The Employment Team
One of the largest employment teams in the country, the team is Tier 1 ranked in Chambers and Legal 500 and advises a diverse range of clients including major corporates, public sector bodies, charities, and senior executives.
This award-winning team handles all aspects of employment law—both contentious and non-contentious—and offers additional services in HR consultancy, in-house client training, workplace investigations, employee incentives, mediation, and immigration.
Role Overview
You will work on a broad variety of employment law issues across sectors such as education, financial services, construction, transport, agriculture, charities, and public sector. Responsibilities include:
* Advising on general employment law and contractual issues
* Drafting service agreements, contracts, and policies
* Handling TUPE, redundancy, and restructuring matters
* Supporting on corporate transactions
* Representing clients in Employment Tribunal litigation
* Advising on boardroom disputes, discrimination claims, and severance packages
* Working on professional discipline and conduct cases
Requirements
* A qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE
* Technically strong in employment law and commercially aware
* An effective communicator with clear, concise drafting skills
* Capable of providing pragmatic advice under pressure
* Involved in business development and confident attending networking events
* Familiar with the local business community in Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire (desirable)
