Temp All Staffing are pleased to announce a permanent career opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of one of our key clients in the food production sector. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join their team on a full-time basis, ensuring the long-term reliability and efficiency of site machinery and infrastructure. The Role in this permanent position, you will take ownership of the facility’s operational uptime. You will be responsible for driving production capacity through meticulous maintenance, managing spare parts budgets, and ensuring the site remains a leader in food safety and industry compliance.
Job Role
1. Operational Excellence: Maximise machinery uptime to hit sales and delivery targets. Manage cost-effective procurement of spares and execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to eliminate downtime.
2. Site Maintenance: Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual checks, maintaining detailed history and repair logs for all assets.
3. Quality Standards: Uphold BRC and PIU compliance across all machinery and buildings. Ensure a “food-safe” environment through rigorous maintenance work practices.
4. Team & Culture: Adopt a ‘one team, one goal’ attitude, overseeing contractors and contributing to LEAN practices and continuous improvement projects.
5. Compliance: Maintain 100% adherence to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, GDPR, and Modern Slavery legislation. Keep risk assessments audit-ready at all times.
Your Experience/ Requirements
6. Technically Sound: Proven experience in mechanical or electrical engineering. A plumbing background is advantageous
7. Process-Oriented: A focus on LEAN methodologies and methodical problem-solving.
8. Leadership Qualities: Ability to coordinate projects and manage external contractors effectively.
9. Analytical & Accountable: High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
